The NSW Government offers a rebate of $300 for the installation of eligible solar or heat pump hot water systems in residential properties. The NSW rebate is available until 30th June 2011 and is in addition to the Federal rebates.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Must replace an existing electric hot water system
- Must be for residential properties in NSW only
- Must be purchased in full and installed between 15 January 2010 and 30 June 2011
- Meet all relevant standards and local council requirements
- Not be used for non-domestic purposes such as heating a pool, spa or similar
- Be a new solar or heat pump hot water system that is eligible for at least 20 Renewable Energy Certificates
- Be installed bya licensed plumber
- The total amount of NSW Home Saver Rebates a household can receive must not exceed $1,500 per property
- The five star gas, solar or heat pump system was not used to meet BASIX requirements (new homes do not comply)
